Over 100 years ago Follansbee introduced terne coated carbon steel, which with proper painting and maintenance earned an excellent reputation for durability.

In 1968 Follansbee introduced TCS, the original terne coated stainless steel, as a maintenance free roofing material. In 1998 this was replaced with TCS II, with a lead free coating offering longer life, due to its improved corrosion resistance.

Now Follansbee offers their KlassicKolors range of pre-painted terne metal, with a high performance solar reflective coating, reducing solar gain
