Protan offers a range of high
specification roof membranes which not only provide an effective and
economical means of waterproofing large conventional roofs, but also
allows the specifier ample scope to design unusual and visually exciting
roofing elements. Applications are suitable for new build and
refurbishment work. Protan SE is for
mechanical attachment and Protan G for
fully bonded and protected systems. |
|
Protan SE: Protan SE is
manufactured from PVC with a core of woven polyester. The core weighs
approximately 80 g/m2. The PVC contains a stabiliser which makes the
product resistant to high and low temperatures, UV degradation and makes
it flame retardant. It is available in two thicknesses: 1.2mm and 1.6mm.
Both options may be supplied with either a 180 g/m2 polyester fleece or a
50 g/m2 glass tissue laminated to the underside. The membrane is fixed by
means of plates with recessed tubes, holed to take a fastener. The recess
conceals the head of the fastener. |
 |
| There are two
methods of attachment, the standard overlap system and the patented
secret-fix system (please contact our Technical Services Department for
information). |
|
Protan G: Protan G is a roofing membrane of
pliable PVC with a core of glass fibre. The core weighs approximately 50
g/m2 and the PVC layer on either side includes a stabiliser which makes
the product resistant to high and low temperatures, ultraviolet radiation
etc. whilst making it flame retardant. It also contains a fungicide. The
membrane is available in two types: Protan G 1.5 of thickness 1.5mm and GT
2.4 of thickness 2.4mm. |
 |
|
The weathering surface of
Protan membrane is textured to provide an
anti-slip finish. |
